What kind of guest book this is

A traditional guest book asks for a signature and, if you are lucky, a line or two. This one asks guests to point their phone at something and press a button, which most people find easier to do warmly than to write.

The result is not a page of handwriting to keep in a drawer. It is an album of photographs and short videos, in full resolution, that you can look through and download as one file.

If a guest wants to write something

Galawall does not collect typed or recorded messages. A guest who wants to leave words can write on a card, or in a paper book left on the same table, and photograph it before adding it through the guest page. The photograph of the note becomes a page of the digital book alongside everything else.

What ends up in the book

  • Photographs and videos up to 25 MB, from any guest's own phone.
  • iPhone HEIC pictures converted automatically, so nothing appears broken.
  • A guest sees their own entry marked as it arrives.
  • No app, no account and no name asked before someone can add a page.

Is this a real guest book, or just a photo album?
It is a guest book built from photographs and videos rather than writing. Each guest's contribution works the same way a signed page would.
Can guests type a written message?
No. Galawall does not have a text message field. A guest who wants to leave words can photograph a handwritten card and add that photograph instead.
Do the entries show up during the wedding?
Yes, on the wall if you are displaying it, and always in your dashboard, both within seconds of a guest adding one.
Can we keep the digital guest book after the wedding?
It stays in your account for 365 days on the paid plan, and you can download the whole thing as one file at any point.
Can I remove an entry I would rather not keep?
Yes. From the dashboard you can take down any single photograph or video.
