What Galawall does

• Scans the QR code, or types the short address printed under it; the guest page opens straight in the phone's own browser.
• Adds several photographs at once, from the camera or the gallery. Uploads continue in the background, survive a weak connection and resume, and a failed one can be retried.
• Adds video as well as photographs, up to 25 MB per file; there is no limit on how long a video may run beyond that size, and video is never re-encoded. iPhone HEIC photographs are converted automatically.
• Moves between three tabs on the guest page: newest, their own, and favourites. Can give any photograph a heart and write a line under it, if the host has left both turned on.
• Is never asked for an app, an account, a name or an email, and never sees how many photographs are left on a trial.

The wall runs as one of four layouts: prints scattered across the screen, one photograph at a time, a gallery grid, or a mosaic. A photograph that arrives is always shown next, but never cuts the one currently on screen short; once nothing new has come in for a while, the wall walks back through the evening instead of sitting still.

A new photograph lands as a print for a few seconds first, whichever layout is running underneath. A title card carrying the event's code appears between photographs at an interval the host sets; the rest of the time, the code stays small in a corner for anyone arriving late.

The wall keeps the screen awake, hides the cursor, and takes a few keyboard shortcuts. It is a page, not an app, so it runs in any browser already in the room: a smart TV, a laptop connected to a projector, or a tablet on a stand.

Every event has its own dashboard: the QR code, the links to the guest page and the wall, every photograph as it arrives, and the whole album as one zip download. The host can take a single photograph down at any point.

The QR code comes in ten designs and six colours, every one tested to scan. Download it as a print-ready A4 PDF, laid out as a sign for the entrance and four table cards, or as a 2048 px PNG for anything else.

From the same dashboard, the host sets the layout, how long each photograph stays up, the transition between them, the frame, the name and date shown, whether captions and hearts are on, and the code's size, corner and title card. The wall follows within a second.

• Free to try, with 50 photographs kept 7 days.
• "The evening" is one payment, $49, per event, with no subscription: unlimited photographs and video, originals in full resolution, the whole album as one download, and 365 days of storage.
• Paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in the host's own currency.
• A wall can be made with no account. An account, made with an email and a six-digit code, or with Google or Microsoft, keeps every wall across devices, and is needed to pay.
• If the host gave an email, a reminder goes out the day before the event, and again before anything is deleted.
• Photographs and files are stored on Google's servers in the EU. The host can delete a single photograph or the whole event.

• Not a photographer. Nobody is on staff choosing angles or editing images; every photograph comes from a guest's own phone.
• Not a photo booth's hardware. There is no printer, no camera and no booth to hire, set up or return, only a screen already in the room and phones already in guests' pockets.
• Not a subscription. "The evening" is one payment per event, not a monthly charge to remember to cancel.
• Not a planning tool. It holds no guest list, seating chart or timeline, only the photographs of the event, gathered and shown.
