What a guest does
The code opens your event's own page. Two buttons: record or take a photograph, or choose something from the gallery. The phone's own camera does the recording, which means the guest is using an interface they have used a thousand times and nobody has to be shown how.
The clip uploads in the background and carries on if the venue's wifi falters, so a guest can put the phone away straight after. They see their own contribution marked as it arrives, which is what tells them it worked.
Video and audio are not the same thing
Galawall records video, not audio messages. If what you want is voices only, on a handset, that is a different kind of product and this is not it. We would rather say so than let you find out on the day.
What you get instead is the face with the voice, and the room behind them: who they were standing with, what the light was like, how loud it had become. A video clip carries the evening in a way a recording of a voice alone does not.
The limits, stated plainly
- Up to 25 MB per file. That is the only limit on a clip; there is no separate length limit.
- Videos and photographs land in one album, in the order they arrive.
- On the wall, videos play automatically and without sound, so speeches are never talked over.
- Everything is kept 365 days on the paid plan, downloadable as one file at any time.
- No app, no account, and no name asked of anyone recording.

Asking for something worth recording
A blank invitation to speak makes most people freeze. A question does not. Put one on the card next to the code and the clips stop being throat-clearing: how did you meet one of us, what should we do on our first anniversary, what is the one thing you would tell us.
Galawall prints the card for you as part of the A4 PDF, in the same design as your guest page, with the short address written under the code.
