A wedding guest book with photographs in it

One is an album sold with empty photo corners or slots. It is a handsome object, and the photographs are yours to source: you choose them weeks later, print them, and mount them. What you get is a curated book, made by you, from the pictures you happened to have.

The other fills itself while the evening is happening, from the phones in the room. Nobody sources anything and nobody prints anything on the night. What you get is closer to a record of the day than a selection from it, including the corners of it you were never standing in.
